Vintage doesn't always mean really old!

Some people think that a collectible magazine is one from the 1800s or early 1900s, but that isn't always true. Here are links to eBay sold items of magazines that sold well from the 1970s. The draw of these magazines are rock groups or rock stars that still hold their popularity.

Interesting information on what magazines you can't sell on eBay

IT'S A VIRTUAL YARD SALE - New Brunswick Home News Tribune

This is a great article about selling collectibles in general, but I thought the following information was particularly interesting to those interested in vintage magazines:

Grotkopf and Harto said they've learned through trial and error which items are likely to bring in the big bucks and which will likely bust.Vinyl albums, comic books and used clothing tend to be tough sells, Grotkopf said. But graphing calculators, car parts, electronics, sports memorabilia, silverware and Playboy magazines, issued before 1979, rake in a lot of dough; any issue after 1979 is considered pornography and can't be sold on eBay, he said.

eBay has become very restrictive in what they will allow to be sold, and it's good to know that Playboys aren't considered vintage after 1979!

Tune in soon for more Vintage Magazine finds!
